Humanity's Tragedy: Hospitals in Gaza's North Cease Activities
The interruption in emergency healthcare services in the north of Gaza is deepening as a reflection of the complex and intense conflict in the region.

Following the recent developments, the Gaza Ministry of Health has made a sudden decision to temporarily halt the operations of all hospitals in the north of Gaza. This abrupt decision comes amidst escalating conflicts, attacks, and increased human rights violations in the region. Medical institutions in Gaza have been profoundly affected by the comprehensive attack carried out by Hamas' military wing, the Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, against Israel on the morning of October 7, followed by intense aerial bombardment by the Israeli army on the Gaza Strip.

According to Israel, in these conflicts, a total of 361 Israelis lost their lives, 43 of whom were in the clashes, and 5,132 people were injured since October 7. As per the Gaza government's data, the death toll has exceeded 11,180, including at least 4,609 children and 3,100 women among these losses. This tragic situation has put immense pressure on hospitals in Gaza. The Israeli army targeted dozens of hospitals, attempting to forcibly evacuate locations where tens of thousands of wounded and civilians sought refuge. However, these attacks resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives and injuries to an equal number of individuals. The conflicts are not confined to Gaza alone but have also impacted the West Bank and Jerusalem. Since October 8, Israeli forces and Jewish settlers have caused the deaths of 186 Palestinians. During the same period of clashes, 73 Hezbollah members and 4 Israeli soldiers lost their lives in confrontations between the Israeli army and Hezbollah. These tragedies are further exacerbating tensions in the region, deepening the conflict between the parties involved. At a time when the international community urgently needs to intervene for peaceful solutions, the cessation of hospital activities in the north of Gaza is aggravating a humanitarian crisis.
