Three Mausoleums

Emir Saltuk Mausoleum

Three Mausoleums are one of the finest examples of monument tombs found in Anatolia. The largest of the three is owned by Emir Saltuk and was built in the late 12th century. The Emir Saltuk Mausoleum is made of cut stone, with an octagonal body and a high drum. It is covered with a dome and a conical roof. The reliefs on its triangular pediments resemble the zodiac figures in Central Asian Turkic calendars. Each of the four sides of the mausoleum contains a pair of windows. The eaves of the entrance door feature geometric patterns, as well as flower and animal figures.

Second Mausoleum

Located to the southeast of the Emir Saltuk Mausoleum, the second mausoleum is square in plan and has twelve sides. Made of gray stone, this mausoleum has a small window on top and three larger windows adorned below. The window on the south side also serves as a mihrab.

Third Mausoleum

The third mausoleum, located 4 meters away from the second mausoleum, is made of local keyek stone. It has twelve sides and four windows, and inside there is a beautifully decorated mihrab. The dome's drum of the third mausoleum also features decorations similar to the Emir Saltuk Mausoleum.
