Mevlana Museum opened its doors in its current location in 1926 as the Konya Asar-ı Atika Museum. Later, the display and arrangement of the museum were revised, and in 1954, it was renamed as Mevlana Museum. The museum and its garden cover an area of 18,000 square meters. The museum, located in the place known as the Rose Garden of the Seljuk Palace, was built by Architect Tebrizli Bedrettin with 130,000 Seljuk dirhams. The museum holds great historical and architectural value.
