When was Ishak Pasha Palace Built?

The construction of the palace was started in 1685 by Çolak Abdi Pasha from Çıldır Atabeks, and it was completed in 1784 during the time of Küçük Ishak Pasha from the same lineage. The architects were skilled craftsmen from Ahıska.

The entrance of the palace, located on the eastern side, was the most challenging part to defend. The monumental gate carries the characteristics of Seljuk art with its reliefs and decorations, similar to other doors.
