Cendere Bridge

Cendere Bridge, also known as the Roman Bridge or the Septimius Severus Bridge, is located over the Ancient Cabina (Cendere) River. The bridge got its name because it connects the two sides of the river that flows through a magnificent canyon. It is located at the Sincik-Kocahisar road junction, approximately 10 kilometers after passing Karakuş Tümülüs while going from the Kâhta district towards Mount Nemrut. The bridge was built by the XVI Legion, which had established its headquarters in Samosata under the orders of the Roman Emperor Septimius Severus (AD 193-211).

Architectural Features
